Client Service Representative
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a balance of customer service expertise, communication and technical skills to join our Group Benefits Team. The successful candidate will provide assistance to Benefits Consultants in the administration and servicing of clients. The Client Service Representative will liaise with insurance companies, resulting in maintaining and exceeding the service standards of the Group Benefits Department.
Position Requirements
- University degree or Community College diploma and/or CEBS designation
- Minimum 5 years Group Benefits experience requiredreview renewals and make coverage recommendations
- Prior underwriting experience an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products; advanced Excel knowledge required product offerings (e.g. home and auto)
- Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision
- Detail-oriented, thorough and organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and accuracy skills
Key Job Responsibilities
- New business implementation: review for accuracy employee booklets, policy contracts, premium statements, administration materials
- Provide service to clients; managing administrative processes regarding enrolments, terminations, late entrants, extension of benefits/retirement questions
- Resolving claims concerns and day to day service issues using a variety of resources
- Liaison with plan administrators interpreting policy provisions and benefit coverages
- Securing quotations for plan upgrades
- Provide technical assistance to Benefits Consultants in the form of renewal calculations, financial reports, cost comparisons, Excel spreadsheets
- Liaison with insurance companies including rate negotiations with respect to proposed renewal rates
