Providing employees access to professional counseling
There are few factors that will impact productivity and retention more than the psychological and emotional health of your people. That is why Stevenson & Hunt recommends that you include an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as part of your employee benefit package. Employee Assistance Programs are designed to:
- Reduce absenteeism, accidents, healthcare and disability claims costs
- Help increase morale and productivity of your employees
- Provide your employees with EAP service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
An EAP provides employees and their families with access to professional counseling for personal or family difficulties, substance abuse issues, gambling problems or job-related concerns.
Employee access to EAP is on a completely confidential basis, but management can receive feedback about what kinds of issues are being discussed, allowing you to flag possible trouble spots that are causing anxiety in your employees.
